Softball Update

Sammy's team played their arch rival on 3/27/08. They won by 1. Bottom of the 7th Sammy hit a single, stole a few times, made it to 3rd. Sara at bat, hits a good one and Sammy gets the game winning score!
Of course, I missed it. The weather here has been frightful and I knew I couldn't sit in the wind and cold for 2 hours. So Chandler was in charge of photos. Enjoy.

Games 2 , 3 and 4

We are in full on Softball season. Sammy and her team have played 4 games as of 3/21/08. And have won them all. They are doing a super job.
Today is Sammy's first weekend off of any kind of softball (school and select) since 2/24. She gets 20 more minutes of sleeping in! lol
Chandler is on a day trip with Grandpa, to Portland. Bill is working and I have a to do list a mile long. So I better get to it!
Game 2
Threw the runner out at first! Way to go!

Stealing to second base, she made it safe!

Sammy dove for the ball.

After game pep talk! Don't the new uniforms look nice! So glad they went with black pants this year. Last year we had white, hard to keep clean.

Game 3. I didn't go. I wasn't feeling well enough to sit in the wind and cold. So Chandler provided us with the photos, she is a good photographer, if we depended on Bill for the photos.....we might get 1! lol Sammy did get a triple in this game.

She looks like a contortionist! My arm would hurt.

These are the types of photos of photos Chandler takes when she has my camera! She is such a goofball! A cute one too!

No photos from game 4. Chandler wasn't feeling well, so I stayed home with her. And we all know Bill wouldn't get any photos! So we are photoless for game 4. The team is now 4 and 0. Go Redwolves!
Have a great Easter.

A couple of.....

Cards I recently made. I needed all three for a b-day get together a few weeks ago. Ages were 1 year old female, 50 year old female and a 69 year old male. It was kind of hard to do seen as how my whole new craft room was in a total disarray. I also need to put in a disclaimer on my recent post on my new craft room. I did not paint the whole room myself. Bill did paint most of it, he is the expert you know. He also did the trim work, I do not paint well with oil based paints. lol
Enjoy the cards. Hugs and Giggles!

High School Softball 1st game

of the season. It was a long one! The weather was okay, no rain but the wind was a whipping pretty good. Below is what was reported to the Seattle Times, she made the game winning sacrifice, almost makes up for her strike outs.I included a few photos too. Enjoy

Im a slacker with a good excuse!

I had such great plans to blog during mid-winter break. But we ended up remodeling another room in the house. The smaller room upstairs which was going to be the girls study room. Well that wasn't working out. So we made it into my new craft room. Or crap room as Bill calls it! Ü So there desk was moved downstairs to the computer/former craft room. So far so good on the studying!
So instead of scrapbooking and being crafty during mid-winter break. I was priming and painting walls. I even got to choose an actual color for the walls. I chose to have my celery cardstock matched for the paint color. It is a little brighter than I thought it would be, but it looks good. Some of the photos look off, I was trying different settings on my camera. lol
In one of the photos is one with a pinkish curtain. That leads to an even smaller room. Right now it stores all of our seasonal stuff and cast offs and junk. We are in the process of cleaning and reorganizing, de-junking it. I am sure we will be remodeling that room soon. It has layers and layers of paint/paper on the walls. It will also serve as an overflow room for my craft stuff too. You know us craft people, we hoard stuff! lol Since the photos were taken, I have blinds put up and wood around the window. The floors are going to be done at a later date, as there was some sort of repair done at some time and Bill needs to assess what he needs to do, plus I was in a hurry to get set up.
Anyways, I will post more info this weekend and take current photos of most of my stuff in the room, it is going to take a bit to get it functioning the way I want it.
