Broken Promise

So sorry I didn't get our Silverwood photos up yesterday, but I have a very very good reason!! Shortly after waking up on Friday, I started to get a back ache. Thinking it was a pulled muscle I put some heat on it. Well after awhile it wasn't helping and I had already thrown up a few times. I called Bill to get home because I was supposed to be taken care of Sammy. So he walks in and I just fell apart, Sammy was in tears as well. We head off to the Doctors, at this point I am in so much pain I can't stand it, it felt like I had back labor it was so bad. The Dr finally gave me a shot of heavy duty Advil and sent us off to the Hospital for an x-ray and blood work. Went back to the doctors office and he gave me the lovely thing to hook on the toilet as they think I have a kidney stone, so it will catch the stone if it decides to pass! lol .....such fun. He also gave me a prescription for Vicodin for the pain, he also said I can share with Sammy as she was in extreme pain Thursday night. Oh and I have to drink gallons of water. No problem here as it is supposed to be the HOTTEST day here today. So anyways, I will get the photos up by Monday....I promise. The good news is, Chandler is home and her fingers is very very bruised! Hugs and Giggles!!

Sammy

Okay, so Sammy came home from Wyoming on 8/3. She had banged up her knee pretty good from sliding and diving during her games. We had been putting hydrogen peroxide and ointment on it. So off we go to to Silverwood. We had a ton of fun on the rides. We never made it to the Waterpark side of the park but did ride the log boom and the other water ride where you get totally drenched. So on Friday we went to Sandpoint and went shopping, during that time Sammy showed us some bumpy things on her leg near her scrapes. We just figured her legs rubbed and being squished in the rides etc. So off she went to Central Washington university for a Fastpitch camp. She called on Monday and said she got more bumps and they look like zits. We told her to leave them alone. So in the meantime Bill and I thought there was a possibility she may have Chicken Pox. Yes, Sammy has never had them. She then calls Tuesday and she has more in her left arm pit. She gets home on Wednesday, wiped out and her zit things look nasty. This morning i called the Doctor because these are looking infected and a few have popped on there own...eeewwwww. Well the Dr is pretty sure it is a Strep infection. We will know for sure on Monday. They scraped one open and took a culture. She is in pain because it is in her lymph nodes and has difficulty walking. She is on Benadryl for itching, Ibuprofen for swelling and 1000 mg of Augmentin 2xs a day for 10 days. We also have to do hot compresses. Sammy has been very emotional today, she has been on the go for nearly 3 weeks and was looking forward to working at Remlingers this weekend. She has been banned from the kitchen and I will fix and get her food for her. We are armed with hand sanitizer and baby wipes and good old fashioned soap. So anyways, think good thoughts that Sammy heals quickly. In the photos the Dr. used apen to mark the areas so that we can tell if they get bigger, if they do we go straight to the E. R. Emergency room visit

I know I promised our Silverwood trip photos. But we have had some excitement since then.
Bill and Sammy left Idaho at 4:30 am so that she could make her noon tryouts. Chandler was going home with her Aunts for the week. So I hitched a ride with Bill's Dad. So later in the evening we get a call from Bill's sister, she thinks Chandler busted her pinky finger as it is bent backwards. Chandler was holding the leash to her Aunt's dog...named Tiny. No he is not Tiny, he is BIG! Anyways the dog took off and Chandler didn't let go. So anyways, her finger was NOT broken. It was dislocated, so they popped it back in. Evidently she also has a high pain tolerance as she has only taken ibuprofen and not the vicodin they prescribed. They have spent the last 4 days camping, hiking etc and she was a trooper her Aunt said. She comes home tomorrow (Friday) I can't wait to see her. Wyoming

No, I didn't go to Wyoming! Sammy did for the 16u B National Tournament. We sent her with another family on the team. They flew into Denver on 7-28 and drove to Cheyenne. She had a blast, they bought cowboy hats for the opening ceremonies. they did pretty good but lost out on Friday. Sammy injured her knee pretty good, even today she his still trying to get it to heal. After they lost out she got to go to her very first rodeo. She had a blast.She came home on the 3rd and we left for Idaho ( Silverwood ) on the 6th. Those photos (tons) will be posted in the next day or two. Chandler's new look!

Isn't she cute! She got upper braces put on on July 7th. She will have to wear them for about a year. Not too bad. She won't be pleased I posted these lovely photos of her, oh well. I have lots to do today so I better get busy! Hugs and Giggles!!

Yep, she chose green and purple. They are now green and black. She had an oops and one of the front brackets came off her tooth so she had to go in and get it re-cemented back on her tooth.

4th of July

WOW it has been a month since my last post! So much for having the summer off!! Actually I have gotten a ton of scrapbooking done. I am so close to being caught up. I can't wait!
We also had/have camera issues. We think we narrowed it down to frying the usb on the camera, not the cord but in the camera, same with Sammy's i-pod. We got the camera figured out...we bought a card reader. I was so happy. I had photos to upload!! The downer. Sammy had a tournament in Kennewick for 3 days and since we couldn't upload photos... I didn't take my camera. I am now kicking myself over that decision, but then again it was so dang HOT...102 at 7pm. I was too hot, sweaty etc to stand in the sun and take photos. lol Anyways, it was nice to come back home to the cooler weather and get ready for the 4th. Our usual schedule for the day is to go into downtown Carnation and watch the parade...since the girls are old enough, they walk down and I can stay home! lol This year Sammy was out of town at her best friends and Chandler had a friend over. So later in the day we go to my best friend since childhoods house down the road for dinner, I brought over the biggest pot of Chili! We eat and hang out, maybe have a margarita or 2 (yum) Then around 7:30 /8pm we come back to our house for desserts, coffee and maybe a margarita or 2! lol Some people bring some fireworks to light off out back. We don't buy any anymore. The neighbors buy a ton at boom city. We just sit back and watch, have dessert and enjoy the show. I can't wait for next year. Okay this post is long enough. It's Official

Chandler graduated from the 8th grade!! She will start High School in fall. I can't believe my baby is in High School. Where has the time gone! Summer started officially for us on the 20th. It is sooooo nice not having to get up early. lol This weekend we are in Kennewick for a tournament for Sammy. The weather is suposed to be right around 100 degrees. ugh I do not handle the heat too well. Bill plans on taking me back to the hotel from the filed the minute he sees me starting to melt! lol What a nice guy. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Hugs and Giggles!!

Getting ready for braces!

Last week I took Chandler to the Orthodontist/dentist to get molds etc done so thet on July 7th. She will be getting upper braces. She wasn't too thrilled I was taking photos but understands my need to scrapbook it!
