Well you can certainly tell it is softball season in the Boelter house!! I don't know if Iam coming or going! lol Since my last post I have been to about 9 softball games. If my highschooler is not scheduled for a game she has a practice. Not to mention she also practices Tuesdays and Sundays with her select team. My youngest plays Little League softball. So we are on the go quite a bit. I have been trying to get meals planned and cooked on my 1.5 break between shifts. It is a struggle sometimes since a few of the Boelters are picky and don't do left overs.
Well we had some time this weekend and got some of the exterior painted (free paint) and Bill came home with a trim color so we HAD to paint, especially around the windows so then he could do the trim around them and we could see if it looked good!i think it looks real good. We did the south side of the house (a very small section still needs to be done) Then today we started in the carport, especially since it is empty right now (long story) so we got that done and a small section of front. Sammy and Chandler actually helped a little bit today.i have enclosed some photos of our fun!
Need to
find a
place that
takes dead
stoves!
< Chandler gets the low areas!
Sammy > gets the high areas!

Spring Break
Well spring break is over!
It never is long enough. I am feeling sooo much better.
I am posting some photos of what I did during part of my break. As some of you know, we purchased the house we had been renting the last 2 years. Well now that it is ours, we get to do whatever we want to it! lol We decided to start with the kitchen cabinets since the weather is still unpredictable to paint the outside. When we moved in the kitchen needed to be painted so we did get permission to do that, I chose Stampin' Ups! Barely Banana for the walls ans a paler version for the ceiling. For the cabinets I wanted a cross between Certainly Celery and Mellow Moss, Bill forgot to take the cardstock samples when he went to get the paint, but he actually did a good job on the color, it is closer to the moss color but that is okay. So we took off a set of cabinets, Bill sanded and painted them. I beat the crap out of them, with a ratchet tool and lots of sand paper and sanding blocks we wanted a ditressed look, well I did anyways and since his cooking requires a phone. He didn't get a choice! lol We aren't quite done yet, we have 4 drawers and 6 more cabinets doors to do. Wouldn't you know it, we lost a hinge... We have no clue where the heck it walked off too. But hopefully Bill will be able to find a match. okay enough chatter onto the photo's.

Hope you enjoyed the photos. I will post more photos as we get more done. Right now I am in a qaundry about window treatments for the window. We plan on replacing the window hopefully within 6 months and will be taller and not as wide. So I do not want to spend too much on the treatments right now, so I may have to pull out the ole sewing machine!lol Dont you LOVE my new handles. I do! lol We got a deal on them too. Buy 2 get 1 free. My next post I will add photos of my handle templates, I had fun making those. Also excuse all the crappola on the counters/floor. We are in the middle of a remodel! lol

I have what??
Allergies. Since when? Evidently allergies are rampant here in the PNW this year. Especially to persons who have never had allergies.
So last night as we were eating another late dinner ( remember softball season is upon us) as I was eating my jaw on the right side was feeling kind of funny and it felt like my gland just under my ear was swelled a bit. By the time dinner was over it was way swollen and it hurt. I figured I had a flaming infection. I knew it wasn't anything to do with my teeth. So I went online and the only thing I could come up with was Mono. Yeah right. So I went to bed with an ice pack on my jaw, that was fun and cold! rofl! So I called the Doctors office at 9am this morning and got in. It is ALLERGIES, now I have had laryngitus (sp) for nearly 3 weeks with no cold no sore throat etc. She sai my ear drum was swollen and shifted, my nasal area was very swollen and river going down the back of my throat. huh? So Iam now on Alavert D for 5-7 days. If that doesnt clear it up she gave me some flonase to use. I also have to take ibuprofen every 8 hours and apply heat periodically to my jaw. By the time I left the Drs. it was hurting pretty bad. It still hurts somewhat. Oh and she told me not to be outside for long periods of time. So I had to miss Sammy's high school game today and possibly this weekends tournament as well. ugh. Well off to finish up dinner since the gang just walked in. i will update with more photos of the kitchen remodel etc tomorrow.

So many cool things.....
Have happened since my last post so you might want to grab your favorite beverage cause this may take awhile! lol
We bought a house!! The one we have been renting for 2 years. It has been in the works since January, very few people knew, we didn't want to jinx it. So we signed papers on 3/27 and wouldn't you know it, the bottom element crapped out in my oven and I went 1.5 weeks without an oven. But the good news is...... see photo
Isn't she GORGEOUS!!! and guess what....she was totally free. And in the next week or so we are supposed to get the matching fridge, free too. The totally cool thing about the stove, it has NEVER been used, you heard me, NEVER EVER been used. I sooo love it, and have enjoyed it a lot!! I will be baking cookies tonight for the guy that gave it to us. It is the least I could do. Oh, notice the cupboard door on the counter next to my pretty stove. Yup, we have 22 cupboards that we are painting and distressing, adding new hardware and we have 10 drawers to do too. As of 4/08 we have 8 doors done. I do not like people who paing and totally cover the hinges and screws, yikes it is a lot of work getting those cleaned up. So as my DH struggles to get the screws uncovered enough to remove, I remind him how much money he is saving by not getting totally new cabinets etc. (actually I don't want new ones as these are old farmhouse cupboards, 3 feet tall and store a lot of stuff)!! lol
Lets see, Chandler has started playing games now. She has done really good so far, she plays short stop and pitches, although this year she only wants to pitch if she has too.
Sammy is officially on the High School VARSITY fastpitch team. the only Freshman to make it and knocked a few seniors, juniors etc off to JV. She always told us she would be a walk on Varsity! We are proud of her and her hard work to get there. She also recently took over the short stop position (normally plays 3rd)but had been playing outfield. Right now I am not liking the coach...it is spring break here and they have a home game today and Wednesday and practice Tuesday and Thursday. Just what I wanted to do during my break, driving her to school everyday. ugh. Next year she will be driving, not sure how Iam feeling about that!
Well that is what has been going on and keeping me from blogging, well that and this
Isn't that the most GORGEOUS ribbon you have ever seen!! Yummy. I have been spending my little bit of mad money buying ribbon from Jody, she is a confessed ribbon addict. I will post her blog addy in a few. I have BIG plans for spring break, like getting some much needed scrapbooking done. okay well dinner is almost done and the troops should be home soon as well. Will post more sometime this week!
